The Popular Show Season Four Reveals the Soldiers Table

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with rich lore, a diverse cast of personalities, and a exciting storyline featuring celestial beings, demons, and sinister influences expanding in influence within the urban setting.

Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 are included.

The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced

The third episode ended with a dramatic pause and revealed the first table of heroes who will separate from the main group to undertake their own adventure, apart from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table features the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (Whitney Moore), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Why Split the Party?

Considering 13 cast members, it was clear from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be impossible.

That’s why, the opening chapters of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look out of place, but the events of the latest installment make it clear why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the combat party.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the team understands precisely where to go next after a violent opening clash with the enemy group.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose death initiated the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his own means, entering Thjazi’s hideout, attacking Thimble, and swiping all the powerful objects to sell off.

The traitor then cleared his liabilities and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Additionally, each character has a individual motive to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the region and cautions that it is a nasty location.
  • The strong character and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their reputation as important members in the powerful family could help the group enter areas they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The fighter vowed a eternal obligation to The cleric for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the setting for a range of causes, making lingering locally dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and The character are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The healer defied the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
  • The target is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This leaves them no alternative but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

Future Episodes

From the recent installment’s follow-up content, we learn that the combat party will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the cast members to round up the Explorers and Planners groups.

Fans can look forward to learning which players will be where in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, available to watch on October 24.
